Jose Ponce

Jose uses his expertise in building information modeling, architecture and construction technology, design, zoning studies, and design and construction management to oversee and manage the design phase of Bowman Consultant’s projects — working closely with the principals of each discipline to ensure buildings can be built virtually before any dirt is shoveled. Prior to joining the team in 2015, he served as a CAD drafter, project engineer intern, drafter and submittal coordinator, and concrete foreman and patio designer.

Jose earned a bachelor of science in architecture with a minor in preconstruction services from NewSchool of Architecture + Design in San Diego, and he is certified as an Associate AIA and Construction Manager-in-Training. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Urban Land Institute as well as an ACA mentor and NewSchool alumni mentor. Outside of work, he enjoys sushi; Netflix; surfing Redfin to find great deals; and learning how to play new songs on piano, guitar, and trumpet.
